I love fruit, and I want to eat as many as possible, but I also like variety, so I prefer to make this fruit salad I enjoy a lot. I usually add apples, oranges, pears, bananas, and strawberries. This is just my preference, though. You can add whatever you desire! You could even add everything to the food processor and make a delicious smoothie.
Suppose you have never had this one before. You are missing out! I have it almost every day, and I love it. You add some lovely ripe tomatoes, a fresh cucumber, some feta cheese ( or as the greeks call it.. cheese), drizzle some olive oil, salt, oregano, and enjoy it. You could also add more ingredients to it.. like parsley, lemon, onions. Whatever you like.
I like to mix greens when I make a big leafy salad. I prefer to mix green salad, kale, lettuce, spinach, and maybe some arugula. As a topping, I add cherry tomatoes, green apples, and bacon ( I know this is not as healthy, but it tastes so good), and I finish it up with a nice homemade dressing that I make with olive oil, anchovies, lemon, black pepper, and mayo.
Maybe this one won't be your favorite exactly.. but I do enjoy it a lot. It consists of basically boiled veggies. I usually prefer to use broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. All you do is boil everything (or steam), drizzle with olive oil, lemon, and salt. It's very healthy as well as very delicious.
